Last Friday night we had the privilege of attending the annual SPE Mardi Gras Charity Event!  This is an event hosted by the young professionals chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers as a fundraiser for the Willow Springs Boys Ranch. 

Usually it entails a night of drinks, dinner, socializing with friends, a silent auction, and maybe even some dancing!  This is one of the few “black tie optional” events that Dwyatt and I attend each year, and we truly look forward to it each February.  What’s not to like about a night where you get to give to an amazing organization while dressing up, hanging out with friends, and coming home with our “winnings” from the auction!  This year we won a case of very nice wine, some tickets to the musical Stomp, and some other gift cards to some local restaurants! 

Also, this year some of the girls and I decided to wear masks!  Such fun!  Made me feel like I truly belonged in New Orleans!  Maybe next year
