Last year Dwyatt and I ran in the OKC Memorial Marathon for the first time.  Well, actually we ran the 1/2 marathon, but hey, that still counts!  Devon Energy is the main sponsor for the marathon and this year they were looking for some Devon employees to be part of a commercial to advertise it!  Knowing that Dwyatt would be great in front of the camera, he got a call from the PR department and a few weeks later was in the news studio filming a commercial!

The funny part is that he never saw the finished commercial, and when it started to air on KFOR News we still never saw it!  People kept asking him about it, and all our friends had seen the commercial, but since we don’t watch much TV we had never seen it!  It’s been on the air for over 2 months now, and we finally saw it for the first time two days ago!  My coworker was kind enough to film it for us on her Blackberry one morning while watching the news so we could have a copy  Such a kind thing to do… this will be a fun memory for us!

The best part about the whole thing is that Dwyatt was planning to run the 1/2 marathon with me again this year, however now that SO many people have commented on his commercial, and asked him if he’s running it he is now training for the full marathon!  It takes place in April so we’ll be sure to get some pictures and update after the fact!
