Welcome to our blog! We are Dwyatt and Caitlyn; two young engineers, chasing our dreams, and building our lives together. We share a love for traveling, swimming in lakes, country music, and Blue Bell ice cream straight from the carton.
We met while we were both students at the Colorado School of Mines. He was tall, dark, handsome, & smart… I was totally smitten! Pretty sure Dwyatt was impressed that I wore short shorts with cowboy boots, and that I got better grades than he did! Our first date consisted of Mexican food & line dancing, and we have been inseparable ever since!
We were married in 2008, right after Caitlyn graduated from college, and we moved to Oklahoma to start both our careers and our life as newlyweds! Besides work, our adventures include graduate school (getting our MBA’s), decorating our house, learning to share chores (Me: I’ll fold laundry if you vacuum… Dwyatt: Umm, ok. Me: Yes!!! I hate vacuuming!), and discovering our shared passion of cooking. We’re also trying to travel as much as possible, visit our families in neighboring states, and enjoy these few years of “just us” before we start thinking about starting a family.
Why start our Blessed blog?
Three years into marriage, we love each other more than ever before, and we feel incredibly blessed to be spending our lives together. We both love God, and believe that without Christ, we would be nothing. Through Him we have been blessed in so many ways. We are thankful for each other, for our families and friends, for our health, for our careers, for all our opportunities, and for all the dreams that lie ahead.
We want this blog to be a “digital diary” of sorts, a place where we can share our adventures and daily life happenings. I hope that not only will our families be able to follow along (they live so far away!), but also that we can one day look back on these entries to remember this fabulous time of our lives together. Perhaps one day our future children will even read these pages, and get a glimpse into who their parents were long before they were even a thought!

fantastic idea about letting your children read the blog years from now.
